Gosh, I must be really lucky, none of my GS's ever overheated, even without a radiator. Also never heard of a radiator leak, hose leak, fan nor fan relay bad, on any GS. But I did have to replace the fan switch on my KZ1300, that had a radiator & a small hose on the wife's Kawa 600 Eliminator that also had a radiator.1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. The Sabre was a really nice machine, especially in 750 format. The 1100 pulled like a freight train but was bigger and more top-heavy. The Magna was never particularly aesthetically pleasing until the Super Magna came out, and on the Interceptors, the radiator wasn't too prominent due to fairings."Thought he, it is a wicked world in all meridians; I'll die a pagan."

The CX V-Twins had very prominent radiators as well. My brother owned two (a 500 custom and 650 Silverwing). I never really thought they detracted from the bikes' appearance.

You almost don't see it at all on the Silver Wing.
Many years ago, I had an Aprilia for a couple years that was liquid-cooled, but until I bought the Triumph this year, that had been my only radiator experience."When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why they are poor, they call me a communist." Bishop Helder Camara

Just wondering, I've got several miles on air cooled KZ's, CB's, & mostly GS's, plus all the miles others riding with me have logged in. We've spent many days at the drag strip, on local roads, trying to act like Wes Cooley, rode my GS1000 thru Oklahoma 117 degree heat, rode an 858 mi. day on interstate 40 @ 80 to 90 mph on a 93 degree day & night from Norene TN. to Tologa OK, etc. etc. I never remember seeing a modern air cooled bike overheat, or if it did we never knew it. Surely they did, but has anyone ever seen it?1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. ZL600 Eliminator, 1999 Bandit 1200S, 2005 Bandit 1200S, 2000 Kaw. ZRX 1100
