    2001 yzf600r

    I just scored a very nice (garaged) 2001 YZF600R with 7800 miles on it for $1400. The carbs need to be cleaned but it looks to be a real nice bike overall.

    After its running I plan to install a Factory Pro shift kit.

    Congrats. That one looks to be in great shape.
    That is a lot of bodywork especially seeing the belly pan.

    A friend had one years ago around that year and the transmission gave him grief. Synthetic oil helped a bit.

      Yes, from my understanding it’s the spring and shift arm that cause the damage. The kit allegedly should prevent it from my readings on the YZF forums.
