I just switched over to a Shoei full face this season- big difference compared to my Bell 3/4. comfortable, quiet and aerodynamic (no lift) looking down road. But like others have said, you must try on before buying, cuz they are all slightly different. I started out with HFC full face a few years back- wore it twice, sold it on CL as it didn't work for me.1981 gs650L

It's not good to add padding, but many models have replacement pads available, so maybe that would give you the volume you had when in was new. Or tuck your chin more at speed.

Some helmets tend to lift when you turn your head to look over your shoulder due to the aerodynamics. Poor design I'd say. Designers often test in a wind tunnel with a wind straight into the front, but maybe they don't test from the side? At any rate, a snug fit will help but no guarantee. You may want to try a google search after you narrow down the field of helmets you are interested in and look for user comments about lifting. Not sure you will find anything, but worth a try.Ed

I like this site for helmet reviews https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j...47244034,d.cGE .When you get an idea what shape your head is they have a place to see what else should be close.Helped me chose my new Scorpion EXO500.

Still be a few weeks before I can get out on the road but i'm sure everyone will hear. For the price is better light up like iron man on potential hazards.

I am still adjusting to a Scorpion EXO 900
It has the option of closed or open face, and it fits quite snugly when fully closed.
In fact, I open it to put it on or take it off
It is noticeably quieter than the HJC or Bell.Bertrand Russell: 'Men are born ignorant, not stupid. They are made stupid by education.'

All this brings back old memories. I don't remember the Mfg. , but there was a poster ad on the wall of our local motorcycle shop that read, IF YOU HAVE A $10 HEAD WEAR A $10 HELMET. I've never forgot that advise. Who remembers what Co. that was?1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. ZL600 Eliminator, 1999 Bandit 1200S, 2005 Bandit 1200S, 2000 Kaw. ZRX 1100

I bought my helmet from Revzilla, they have great prices and have a no hassles return policy. They also have product videos on most of the helmets they sell. Biggest problem is deciding on which one.
And last, buy as much helmet as you have a budget for, IMO it is the most important piece of safety equipment that you can buy.
It's one of those things that you don't think much about until you really need it, then you want the best that money can buy.
Cheers
