    Hmmm...a 82 GPZ750,more my style

Been a 82 GPZ750 on UsedVic for a bit now.I emailed the owner last weekend, got a reply yesterday.Looks like quite a nice little project but the ad expired so I can't link to itI'd really rather be looking at a GPZ550 but the 750 would be cool to.Now should I do the paint Firecracker red or go Kawi green

Red. They don't look that great in green.

Nice bikes. Not a huge fan of the green. Red looks nice, but pretty common.

And put an 1127 GSXR engine in it. Fit's nicely and flies! Just check out the German ELR site.

There seems to be a pattern to your various responses Greg. Mod the hell out of everything!

Unfortunately yes, It's hard to resist. As the 1127even weighs less that the old 750 engine.
I have pics of this somewhere as well.

As of right now I have 2 red bikes:

                and

So going red isn't what the wife or me for that matter really wants to do.Srsupertrap's pic says to me it would look pretty damned good.I think gmansyz is selling a 1127 GSXR engine as it seems to fit in all kinds of bikes.I'm a keep it original for the most part kind of guy and would keep the Kawi engine thanks.I just hope we can make a deal if it's in good enough shape

I love the Green 550 there!!!!!
Yes, the 127 fit's in a lot of things, but no interest so I need to hold on to it. I just had an inner hub modded to fit the 6-speed.

Or you could pop a GSXR 750 engine in it if you want to keep it a 750.

Every time I see a nice Gpz550 my heart sinks a little. I had an absolutely MINT specimen that's the one and only bike over my 35 years of riding that I regret selling.

Understand why you want to go green given the abundance of red in your family. I like stock colors myself (nobody cares). But good on ya for bringing rough specimens back to life.

don't understand the question. Are you asking if there is a good forum dedicated to restoring GPZs?
