K&S turn signals
Has anybody here used "K&S technologies" aftermarket turn signals, (kandstech@kandstech.com) ??? What's your opinion??? How do they compare to OEM??1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. ZL600 Eliminator, 1999 Bandit 1200S, 2005 Bandit 1200S, 2000 Kaw. ZRX 1100Tags: None

If they list a model for your bike, they pretty much look and function identically -- same bulbs and everything. Not quite as nice as OEM -- maybe 95%, nothing you could see from a foot away -- but a fraction of the price.
Turn signals with incandescent bulbs all pretty much work the same, so if you can review some pics in a catalog, you might find some that you like better. Or if your bike isn't listed, perhaps you can find some for another model that will work.
For example, if you look closely at the front signals that used to be on my GS850G, you'll notice that they have black plastic bodies rather than the correct chromed plastic. They were listed for a 1983 GS1100E, but the shape was identical, so I used them for many years until a friend raided his box o' spare turn signals and found a pair of proper chrome signal bodies.
You do want to be careful that you get a front set with running lights, if that's what your bike had originally.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.

K&S is the best aftermarket supplier of turn signals. More than that, they actually provide some of the OEM's with turn signals.
What differentiates K&S turn signals is they are all DOT approved. What does that mean? Essentially they conform to the DOT standards for emitting light and being waterproof.
Far too many of the aftermarket turn signal brands (Trick, Emgo and more) carry labels like 'not for street use' - now why would you install a turn signal on a dirt bike or a race bike... hmmmm..
