    Honda CB450SC

    Hi all,

So I looked at this bike for my wife

Unfortunately it turned out to be a $500 (at most) bike. Just about everything on the bike was damaged. Remember there is a premium because it is in CA. In other words it is $200-300 bike outside CA.

Besides being disappointed in the condition of the bike I was disappointed in how cheaply the bike was built. The materials and build all felt cheap and low grade. I was expecting something more like my GS850G. I know that smaller bikes are cheaper, but wow this was surprising. Are smaller displacement GSs like this?

My wife is looking for a light bike that can run on the freeway. She has long legs and small hands (lever reach is a problem). Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Find her a nice GS500E, there are tons of them out there with fairly low miles and in various versions from completely naked to full bodywork and fairing.

Good strong motor, can cruise all day at 80 mph, and parts are cheap and easy to come by.
