I'll buy it now and sell it to you this summer for $3,000.
Actually, I've got the Yang to its Yin. My GPZ is a silver '84, with a stainless Supertrapp and K&N pods.
I like it tremendously. It doesn't steer as my GS700ES, but in long, 80+ mph sweepers, it's rock steady and quite confidence inspiring.sigpic

Doh!
Next summer I'll have money in the bank, maybe enough to buy the squeaky clean and perfectly restored GPz750 Turbo from a guy I worked for just a couple weeks ago. I think he wants 6 grand.1982 GS1100G- road bike

Kan't really see much in the pic of George's bike, but online it looks like about a 40mm difference.
I like the silver mo-betta, but silver, black or red all excellent.
Trippivot's was silver too.
Just about 6-7 years ago I missed an excellent 83 or 84 550 and 750 near me. Prices have only gone up since.1982 GS1100G- road bike

I would think that if it had been wrecked (or just dropped) enough to lose the fairing, that the turn signals would have been damaged as well, and not replaced. I don't know though. Down here, if it has them, they have to work. If it doesn't have them, it will pass inspection without them.https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4442/...678005be58.jpg

I put a Stage III kit in it, adjusted the valves and sync'ed the carbs, and she ran beautifully. She's getting stainless brake lines, a sport luggage rack, and a Corbin seat this winter in preparation for the 2016 Brown County rally.sigpic

Wow! The guy I mentioned before about having the museum quality GPz750Turbo, also had a white CBX in museum quality too.
He called me to fix the display lights over his 1962 BMW and 1953 Indian.
Long winded guy who did everything and made a lot of money, also said he and some friends were the first to ride across Bhutan.
He was 78 so I just listened to what he said, without questions.1982 GS1100G- road bike
