Suzuki VL 1500 Intruder handlebar size
Are the handlebars on the Suzuki VL 1500 7/8 in. or 1 in.? I'm looking for orig. looking bar end weights for my "91" GSX 1100 G, that to my surprise have 1" handlebars. I can find them for $39.00 ea. I see VL 1500 weights for $11.00 on ebay, & they look exactly like the GSX 1100 G weights. The part #'s are different for the two bikes, but if the VL 1500 is also 1 in. I'll take a chance. The bars on my "new to me" intruder 1500 are 1". I can't swear they're stock but believe they are. Hillsy would know for sure, I suspect.1983 GS 1100 Guided Laser

I find working on my motorcycle mildly therapeutic when I'm not cursing.

I don't have a clue how you found that imfo, but thanks a lot. The Intruder weights look exactly the same, on the outside, only the innards are different. Should work perfect. thanks1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. ZL600 Eliminator, 1999 Bandit 1200S, 2005 Bandit 1200S, 2000 Kaw. ZRX 1100

Yep - they're 1" bars as you probably know by now.
The bar end weights on the Intruder have a long bolt and a rubber insert that compresses to hold the weight in. So, if your G bars are hollow (not capped with a threaded hole), they will work.
Part numbers are probably different because the Intruder weights are chrome.Current:
Z1300A5 Locomotive (swapped my Intruder for it), GS450 Cafe Project (might never finish it....), XT500 Commuter (I know - it's a Yamaha )
Past:
VL1500 Intruder (swapped for Z1300), ZX9R Streetfighter (lets face it - too fast....), 1984 GSX750EF, 1984 GSX1100EF (AKA GS1150)
And a bunch of other crap Yamahas....
