GSRick has a Cavalcade. He should have some info.
Have you considered a GS GK, or are you looking for a non i4 bike?

Never ridden one, but every old MC wrench I've ever talked to hated that bike with a passion.

Cavalcade came out in 86 I think. (GK was kinda the stop-gap offering untill then).
Has V-4 engine, that some folks say is difficult to work on, I dont specifically know what/why.
THat one listed there says "need clutch slave cylinder". I dont know where that is located to know if would require much engine work.
I see that one also has the windscreen cut down and has trunk removed and a few other 'custom' things.

If it was running and intact (including trunk), that would be one heck of a deal.

ANY V-4 bike is a pain to work on, some more than others. I have not worked on a Cavalcade, but don't see why it would be any different. I have had the dubious 'pleasure' of woring on a Yamaha Venture, Honda ST1300 and Honda Magna 1100. None of them is easy.

When the Cavalcade was brought out, it was running against the Venture 1300, Goldwing 1200, Voyager 1300, and Voyager 1200, battling it out for creature comforts. It seemed to lead the pack in virtually every area, but was also the most expensive, which is probably what killed it. In the one shown in your link, someone was probably trying to cash in on the current "bagger" fad, and removed one of the best parts of the bike, the trunk.

I like the look without the trunk, and it probably handles better without it.
