Git it done via the good dmv in Vermont. Through the mail, reasonable and faster then most other routes. http://dmv.vermont.gov/registrations

PA also raised the registration fee.
We have the added bonus that they stopped issuing registration stickers. So now when you look at the license plates in PA, most of them appear to be expired.

Here in Washington you can get a provisional registration after a State Patrol inspection if the VIN is clean, it turns into a title after 3 years. The downside is that registering and plating an old bike can easily run $300+, more if it has a skipped title. Makes those bargain bikes not such a good deal...

In Texas I had to go though the "Bonded Title" process which is kind of a maze of paperwork and surety bonds. Now that I've done it, I can walk though it easily but during the process it was quite a PITA.

I've had to do it a couple times this year. the VIN checks is a big ole PITA now...
Jedz, just verifying. Are you saying that the Vermont trick is dead now? So unless you can trailer a bike all the way to VT for a VIN check your dead in the water?
