    Yep -
The Yellow Wing is a guy that goes by "Yellow Wolf" on the forums
His associate is 'Fuse" also on a GL1800 Goldwing.
The chase rider (videographer) has a more difficult time during this run just keeping up, and keeping the Yellow bike in frame.
    Both incredibly talented riders.
Yellow Wolf also did a SS1000 by riding the Dragon up & back enough times to get to 1000 miles in 24 hours.
He got a special dispensation from the Iron Butt Association to do it and be recognized.

Correct on all accounts for the last few posts. The lead rider goes by the name "Yellow Wolf", not sure who is on the camera bike.

Yellow Wolf lives in the area around Deal's Gap and rides it virtually every day, so he knows it VERY well. That fact was hammered home a couple of years ago in dramatic fashion. He applied for special permission to do a certified Iron Butt Ride on The Gap. Because of the extreme repetition, it had to be exceptionally-well documented, even more so than a 'regular' Iron Butt ride. He started at one end with all the proper documentation, witnesses, etc., rode to the other end. When he turned around, someone would log time and odometer readings. Ride to the other end, document, repeat. When necessary, they had fuel for him, along with snacks and other necessities. Yes, he managed just under 50 round trips to log just over 1000 miles in about 23 1/2 hours. Watch the video that azr posted again, but imagine doing that at night. ALL NIGHT LONG. Yes, he knows the road VERY well.

To log 1000 miles in 23 1/2 hours, you need to AVERAGE 42.5 mph. Tough enough to do on that road, but nearly impossible now, since they have lowered the speed limit to 30.

I sold my GS650g so now I have a place to put the Wing. Selling that bike to make room for a Wing doesn't sound like such a good idea at this point.......

I got home after this ride and promptly dropped it in the garage! No damage except to my pride. Wife had a neighbor come help me lift it back up.
