Buddy was wondering how many of the 83 KZ750L3 models were made. Anyone know of a place that has Kawasaki production numbers.

Weren't they one of the models made in the US ? Kawasaki USA might supply numbers if asked. -

Since they became the KZ700A in 1984, my guess is the KZ750L3 was made in Japan, not the USA.
GPZ750 production was shifted from Japan to the USA in 1984 to keep their flagship sporting middleweight a 750 and avoid the tariff.
As for USA numbers, it was quite a rare bird. Based on used parts availability now, I'd guess the KZ700A1 was imported in much higher numbers than the KZ750L3. All parts are interchangeable, of course.sigpic

Kawasaki made several different variants of their 650/700/750 bikes. There were chain and shaft drive cruiser's (H, N, F model LTD's), UJM's (E and L model), and sport bikes (GPz A model). I wouldn't call any of the variants rare per say, but the cruisers seem to have sold the best.Ed

Thank you for contacting Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm where your 1983 KZ750-L3 was built. Our records do not go back that far. Also, Kawasaki does not publish sales numbers, so that information is not available.
