I'm interested in what you'll come up with for the paint job. Before your time, of course, but in the '70's the custom paint for a Sporty was a graveyard scene. In the November '71 Cycle World (my first motorcycle mag) was this ad for the newly enlarged Sportster.:

"1000cc Sportster. When you're through with waiting and ready to move. The one machine that straightens it all out. On the road, at the strip...or in your mind." I went for it hook, line and sinker.
1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

G'mornin', Jedz, ever thought about posting test rides to your channel? Might help you gain viewers.

Honestly thinking a Kinetic Green Pearl and a retro decal...
        Like these:

We will see, paint is the last thing I want to tackle. Need to get the bike running and stopping great first.

Thought about it but time is not available . I took a long weekend and the last thing I wanted to do was spend time editing, just riding. It was 17 days of work straight prior and I'm looking at another 12 days till my next day off. Once the day job relaxes I'll work on the Jedz moto Vids but that's all in the after burner for now... I do intend to do a video when i do the brakes tonight... If I can get around to it. another close call with a deer on my way into work, these brakes need to be sorted.
