That is pretty nice for sure! Although I must say I'm not sold on that rear end... too street fighterish (is that a word?) for a cafe for my tastes.

Yeah I agree. Very nice bike but too "streetfighterish" for sure. A flatter tail would suit it more I think. It doesn't go with the wire wheels IMHO.
I like the clean looks though.

That brings back some very good memories of early British Cafe bikes I've ridden. There is a GR 650 engine for sale nearby at present. Does anyone know if that would fit into the frame of my GS 450 S? It is so tempting, pun intended.....

There was an '81 GS400S with a GR650 engine in it for sale locally here a month or so ago...photos looked like it was a good fit.
