    Petcock question

I rebuild/machined my petcock. The sealing surface was pitted in spots making it leak a lot. I fixed this. Now it drips a little. By a little I mean maybe 1/2 an oz in 24 hours. I placed the tank up on a box and put a little cup under it. Is this an issue? Will it drip if there is gas in the line connected to it? Thanks!

No sure about the 450L, but on most of these 1980 and later bikes, that leaking fuel ends up in the motor oil. Yes, that would be an issue. It would also be an issue if the bike caught fire while it was parked somewhere. New petcocks are cheap.

Life is too short to ride an L.
