    Clutch lifting mechanism lubrication

OOPS...posted this on wrong forum...So here it is where it should be!

So, after reading through the manuals and doing a quick search here on the forum, here's my question.

Getting ready to put the lifting mechanism back into the case and reinstall everything (GS450L). There looks to be a grease zert in the case on the adjusting side (outside). I cannot find any information on what or how to grease the mechanism.

What do you guys do and should this be a regular maintenance item and if so how often?

I'm thinking a little bearing grease on the spline before putting back together. What say you?

I'd use medium weight grease in the zert. Once a year should be plenty.

Thanks Ed. Hoping to button up the left side this morning and move to the right. Going to change the clutch springs and clean the engine cover. Hopefully can finish that today and get the new exhaust mounted.

      inching ever closer!
