Inspecting a Clutch.....what am I looking for?

I already bought new OEM springs, but what signs will I see on my drive plates and driven plates that will let me know that they need to be replaced?

Check them for thickness tolerance per the manual. Look for bluing on the steels or wearing due to slippage. Lay steels on a piece of glass and see if theres any edges lifting off it..do this from each side. Teeder Todder effect here.

Check spring lengths. Check bearings for wobble and free play. Check the inner and outer baskets for wear in areas the fibers make contact..usual symptom is grooves worn into the metal from the tabs.
