I didn't know whether to put this in electrical but yesterday when I went to start it after I changed the oil I got no juice. No lights no nothing. The battery is brand new and recently charged, and when I hooked it up to a charger agian said it was over 80% charged. It did start eventually with a jump from my car. Is this just a coincidental problem or did I kill my stator? It started right up when the case was filled with gas, but now it won't essentially. Thanks for your time.

Newbie, just realized I got a tank of gas in my crank case
So my buddy, who's a veteran biker, accidentally left the petcock on prime over the winter and what was a full tank of gas is now empty and inside my case. Figured it out when I went to start the bike and it started puking everywhere. He at least undid the bolts for the carb bowls, at least my carbs didn't sit around full of gas. Anyways our veteran mechanic said to obviously drain the oil/gas, change oil filter, replace with new oil, run it, and drain again. Rinse and repeat until I'm satisfied that there is no more gas in the oil. My question is, is there anything else I should be looking for too? Could this have caused any permanent damage?

Just hope your cylinders weren't holding fuel, it ain't good to try and compress a liquid, you had the plugs out for a look see.

As long as you didn't run it with the gas in there you should be fine.
Get some shell Rotella by the gallon and do a few oil changes.
You probably have no power because the contacts on the fuse are coroded or just dirty and not making the connection.
Go over all the grounds and connections around the battery and electrical plate.
You'll probably find the fuse is where the problem is or where the harness bullet connector connects to the large terminal on the solenoid.
IF the bolts for the carbs where out and you still got fuel in the case then that mean's the petcock needs replacement or rebuild because the fuel has bypassed the carbs and went through the pulse line into the one cylinder.Stephen.
