I'm looking at the carb rebuild kits on ebay and partnbuild more. Is it worth replacing the float need? Or should I just find out o-ring sizes and order them?

Dont get the rebuild kits. Just get a kit from cycleorings, com. Rebuild kits are a waste of money due to your buying inferior stuff and stuff you wont need is left over.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

I have a large supply of orings from Robert. Take some pics of the ones you need along with the ID and OD measurements and I can see what I have. You can have them free if I have them.
Youll need the fuel tube, mixture screw, and the float seat orings for sure.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

Another quick question - I have been trying to find a service manual for this bike, but I haven;t had any luck. Can anyone provide any info about the stock settings on the carb for when I rebuild it.
