    Oil seal

    Hi all,
I have a small oil leak on my 82 gsx 400 t which seems to be coming from the
clutch push rod, can anyone tell me how to get to the seal which seems to be covered
by some sort of washer? Im just hoping that it's not from inside the crancase.

    Thanks

Take a look at this, it's on a 80 250T but might shed some light:

It's smoke that make electronic components work.
Every time I've let the smoke out by mistake, they never work again.

Great, thanks for that, I will have a look tonight. Mine does look
like the seal is covered by some sort of plate, those pictures show
exactly what to look for. My Haynes manual is a bit vague.

      Cheers

I just ordered the corresponding seal for my 81 gs450L - same leak out of the pushrod. If you look at the blowout of that model, there are two plates, I think one is inside the crankcase and the other is outside, so I wouldn't be surprised if the one pictured for your bike is inside the crankcase.
