Bought the white plastic cnnectors online and terminals
that go inside and crimping tool.
Never done this before but simple and now has
secure connector and runs sweet.
There is enjoyment in riding these bikes of our
youth about. Mega fun. This does the runs to shops
etc now and shorter rides.UKJULES

Have you done any "plug chops"? Find a suitable section of road. Get the bike to the "trouble zone" of 5k+ and HOLD the throttle there. If the bike keeps running but does not accelerate, GREAT. Hold the throttle there for as long as you can, but half a minute would be good. Hit the 'kill' switch, pull the clutch, coast to a safe spot. Pull the plugs and see what they look like. Color should tell you whether it's carburation, moisture will tell you if it's electrical.

I ha e not tried that but bike is sorted !
Was a loose connection from pickups near
the connector box !
Possibly dirt in carbs too.
Loose connections which displayed like fuelstarvation.UKJULES

I just wanted to add something to this thread.
Whilst i thought it was running perfectly i took it out after doing nothing too it and it kept dieing.
of course i thought it was related to the old issues and was about to start again the horrendous
fault finding steps ....
But is was purely fuel starvation caused by a kinked fuel line. i had renewed them but the line was too long,
too flexible and adding a fuel filter made it rout incorrectly,
re routing the line and proper length all is well !
As people say it is sometimes the simple things.
Now need a 90deg bend fuel filter with 8mm tubesUKJULES
