    Are my mirrors stock?

What should the mirrors on my 1981 gs450E look like? I have round ones but I dont think they're stock. Does anyone have pics of oem mirrors for my bike?

The fiche shows both the round and rectangular style as stock for that bike. However, I can't tell if they were the chrome or the black ones like that so someone with more knowledge on that part will have to speak up

      Welcome to the site, Chris.
Might depend on what country you are located.
If you put your location in your signature there could be a helpful GSer nearby.

Thanks Steve! I've actually been around here since 2009, having some issues with my account lately. I started the GS Twin photo thread years ago... http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...t=picture+twin

I'm in Denver, CO, and have had lots of help from local GSers (including meeting our shim-club administrator).

Cowboy - I was able to find what you're referring to in the parts catalog. My current black mirrors appear to be aftermarket but similar to the round style, and since the handlebar mounts are black I'm going to assume the bike came with black mirrors. With regard to shape, I'm still having a hard time figuring out if I should have the rectangles or the circles.
