    Chain and sprockets

Hi everyone I'm restoring a 78 gs1000 EC on fitting a new EK630 chain and sprocket kit IV noticed the gearbox sprocket is thinner than the original which has rubber cushing pads built in torquing up the sprocket nut there's slot of sideways play on the new sprocket is this "ok safe normal" with after market sprockets?
Thanks in advance for any advice Keith.

You need a spacer, because the aftermarket sprocket is thinner than the original.
