I am working on a 1979 GS1000L front brakes and cannot find the rubber boots for the brake pad arm. Item #6 in the attached drawing. 59112-34020 Does anyone know where I can get these? Also, would the 1980 redesigned brakes fit on my bike? Without the boots I may have to look at other options.

Might check in the used parts section, russer33 is selling off a horde of gs1000 partsGS\'s since 1982: 55OMZ, 550ES, 750ET, (2) 1100ET\'s, 1100S, 1150ES. Current ride is an 83 Katana. Wifes bike is an 84 GS 1150ES -

Adept Powersports website will show you all other models this part is on. Maybe you could search for a used assembly that has a good one?

I was looking for the same thing a while back and ran into a dead end. Found some on another set of used calipers slightly less horrible than the ones I was working with. Good luckComment

I scrounged and scraped and found two if these under a different part number. BRAKE CALIPER PISTON BOOT 59108-34020 - these do fit. Got one on Ebay and the other from a Suzuki dealer in NL.Comment

The later calipers work better and are a direct swap. You may need the discs also, but not sure.Ed
