    Aftermarket Master Cylinder/reservoir/lever recommendations

The master cylinder reservoir was messed up on my GS1000L (round type) and I am looking for an aftermarket master cylinder/lever/reservoir unit. Any recommendations? I see many cheap Chinese options but want something decent without spending a fortune. Thanks Doug

Im using a brake master from a 2009 ninja 650r on my 79 gs1000L right now. Seems to have decent feel with the stock calipers.

This is another version of the EX650 master. It has a mirror lug, and 5/8" bore, which is the proper size for a GS w/dual discs.

The one Nessism recommends is highly recommended. Works very well with both OEM Calipers & the Twinpot calipers used in the brake upgrade.

If going with a MC from another brand, be sure of the banjo bolt thread size/pitch. It’s probably 10mm x 1.25. Your GS came with 10mm x 1.00 pitch banjo bolts. Suzuki changed to the more common 1.25 pitch years later. I'm fairly certain of this info, but best to take whatever MC you buy and check it in a gauge (any decent hardware store has one).
