valve springs
I'm currently lapping my valves and waiting for new valve seals and top end gasket set. I am just a tad confused on the direction that the springs should be installed in. Is the closely wound inner and outer spring closest to where I put the keepers back in, or towards the head of the valve. Also when installing everything, should the valve and springs be dry? Thanks in advance.Tags: None

I would think the wound end of the spring is heaver I would put the wound end against the head, Oil everything, if it is going to set on the shelf for months? I would put some assembly lube on the valve & seal

The factory manual for the 850 shows the tightly-wound end goes toward the head.
