    GS1000G Tacho oil leak help

Hi all, Just wanted to know how to remove the Tacho housing on the engine on my GS1000g as I have oil leaking down the cable.

straight forward, just unscrew the cable, then remove the small mounting screw that holds it in, then pull it out. you can buy new seals to cure the leak

a few taps with a mallet or a little persuasion with a screw driver may help.

                tacho leak

Answering my own question here. I reckon oil is running down the cable from the actual tachometer ? All very strange

No oil should be in the tach itself.....You didn't nick one of the seals when you re-installed them did you ??...and you have it all seated well ??
