Frozen bolt in behind clutch cover.

    Good evening everyone,
I was breaking down my bike so I could paint everything. While following the instructions in the manual to remove the engine, I came across this: <check picture>

It says to remove those two screws where the clutch cable is connected. Unfortunately, one of them is frozen. I already tried to get it out with a screw remover. No dice. So, do I really have to remove that screw to take out the entire engine?

    2. How do I get the clutch cable out of the 'holder'? It seems to be one piece.

    Thanks for your help.

cant you use progressively large drill bits to pop off the button head of the screw therby leaving only the screws shaft?

Are you using an impact driver?
If not, you need one before you ruin another screw.

Thanks for the tips fellas. I"m off to pick up an impact driver at Home Depot this morning.

What is the function of that screw though?

I find working on my motorcycle mildly therapeutic when I'm not cursing.
