    Do I have a problem?

I pulled my manual tensioner the other day and found this.
I never tightened it more than finger tight. So, do I have a stretched cam chain, broken/worn out rear guide or what. Almost out of adjustment
Engine has less than 40k km on it. I am getting ready to pull the engine for maintenance, plan on a new rear guide and heavy duty chain, but should I even run it like this?

Looks like you have some major wear in there. Guess its time to open it up and have a look.

The guides also wear. That's what mine looked like before I replaced the chain and guides.
