    Exhaust to head clamps?

The standard finned ex to head clamps on my 78 GS750E were new when i rebuilt the bike around four years ago. Now the chrome is showing rust patches. I think the chrome on these is not very thick, as the heat would cause flaking if it was.

I just wondered if there are any after market stainless versions of these clamps anyone know of? Maybe some custom types are available?

    Thanks.

Soak in Evapo Rust or similar, hit them with a stainless steel wire brush to clean the metal after derusting, and follow that with clear high temp header paint?

      Thanks for the suggestions.

It supprises me that there doesn't seem to be an after market custom clamp. When i was a youth, a few companies did these clamps for Triumphs BSA's etc.

      Regards.
