    diameter of intake for the GS 550

    if someone knows diameter of the intake for the GS 550 (to compare with my GS 500), so if anyone knows please let write.

      Well I do not know how to call it but it`s carburetor with the picture below.

        They're VM22s - external diameter on the head side (which is what I presume you're looking for) is 31mm.

          Thats means that both gs (GS 500 and GS 550) have the same diameter intake.

            They will - both use VM22s.

                As far as I know the 500s had 50cc less (obviously!) and different cams - those were the only differences. The 550 cams will fit straight in and you'll get (almost) the same power as a 550.

                  Yes, this is the reason why I asked. When you say cam I suppose you mean the camshaft. What about valves and cylinder heads? It would be great if it were 500/550 compatible.
