    GS850 Shaft drive

Looking at a GS850g from the back of the bike, can anyone tell me which way the shaft (to drive the rear wheel) turns?

I think it is anti clockwise but I need to be sure!

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Chris

From the rear (looking towards the engine), the shaft turns clockwise for forward movement.

Does that mean it turns counter clockwise for reverse?

            Hi,

            I'd rather have a 6th gear than a reverse.

            Thank you for your indulgence,

            BassCliff

Not as funny as you think!

I am installing a Reliant axle in the trike so if you get the direction wrong you do indeed have 5 reverse gears and go forwards very slowly.

Thanks for the help everyone, much appreciated.
