    starter clutch bolt length

When you rebuild a starter clutch and upgrade the bolts what length should a guy use? I have one rebuilt by the PO and it had 20mm bolts but you can still see a few threads in the hole on the rotor side. Would 25mm be too long? My guess is that it would stick past the rivits by a mm or 2. I could always cut/grind them down if they are too long.

    Thanks

length isn't so much the issue as is the tensile strength of the bolt... go for 12.9 and tighten to spec with thread locker.... then tweek it a lil more for good measure. some folks weld the back on the bolts in but imho for a street motor that's overkill
