    Center stand with 4-1 exhaust

Anyone with a 4-1 exhaust using a center stand? How did you over come the bumper missing from the stock exhaust to help keep the stand under tension, etc? Can I see some pics?

    Thanks!

Other thread started here but probably wrong group(?)

I don't have a pic, but I epoxied a cut down hockey puck into the slot along the swingarm on my 1100EX - keeps the center stand from bouncing around & away from my chain.

My V&H 4-1 came with a metal bar for the stand to rest on when it is up. It bolts to the muffler rearmount/passenger mount.

It is just a flat bar with a bend to go inside of the muffler and down so that when the centerstand goes up it contacts it instead of hitting the muffler. I will try to get a pic.

Here are a couple pics of the OEM bracket I still use for the stand. You might post in the parts wanted sections I am sure there are some around somewhere no one needs. You can also make a bracket as HG mentioned.

              Hey guys, guess what?

When the mechanic replaced my exhaust with a brand new 4-1 exhaust after their little mishap he gave me a center stand return bracket and I forgot all about it until I stumbled over it looking for a spare screw tonight. Yippie! I put it on tonight and it's great.

Here is a quick video I shot showing it off.

Just showing off the center stand return bracket I did not realize came with this Mac exhaust.

So the Mac Exhaust was not only a nice fit with allowing me to get a center stand, it also came with two perfectly matched brackets: 1) to hold the pipe to the right rear set in a way which allows the pipe to be high off the ground if so desired for extreme lean angles (I moved it to the max height after I scrapped it once), and 2) they also included a kick stand return bracket.

The only thing which could have been better is the kick stand rubs against the chrome circular (hose) clamp connecting the header to the megaphone unless it is barely covering the connection, and 2) if they had included a rubber bumper on the kick stand return stand.

Maybe I will shoot a better video showing all this in the morning.

Good night and thanks again everyone. I might have wondred for years why I had saved that second bracket!
