hey guys back again need some instructions adjusting my valves. i dont know the last time they were checked and i didnt really understand the service manual oh btw i got a 1980 gs 550. thank you all again for being patient through my general ignorance of mechanics.

how does this process adjust the valves
how does this process adjust the valves me and my bud are kinda lost am i supposed to replace the shims with new ones are just put everything back and put them back the way they are supposed to beComment

Measure clearance and if out of spec...
Remove old shim
Use chart in service manual to figure out what new shim you need
Get new shim of proper size
Install new shimEd
