    1983 GS750ED or GS750ES tranny parts?

Hate to be such a newbie with so many questions... but I've got another.

I'm doing a tranny repair on Danielle Hebert's 1983 GS750ES... and have a line on a complete tranny for a 1983 GS750ED on Ebay. Question is, are those two truly interchangeable? (near as I can research, the guts of the tranny are interchangeable)

Any one have any knowledge - I know about the risks associated with buying used parted-out parts so it is a crap-shoot but thought I'd ask those with more knowledge

    Thanks again!

I think the biggest difference between ES and ED is just cosmetic, so the parts should interchange okay.

I believe all the 750s from 83 up to the 85 700 used the same bottom end.

I think they still had the T model in '83, that would be the only exception.

Way cool. $60 for a complete tranny was just worth taking the chance with Ebay.

... still on a gasket quest.
