    APE Hub Nut

Quick question before I spend the cash. I was checking the clutch today and found the stock hub nut to be loose. I would like to replace it with an APE nut, but they don't have one listed for the 750 engine. Is the nut for a GS1100 the same as a 1981 GS750? Thanks in advance.

The part number is the same. Easy to check yourself at a site like this... http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm

I think it was Ed that told me the 1150 nut is also an upgrade from most of the earlier models. Thanks to him I have one on my 1000 and so far so good.
You need a different size socket for it as it is a smaller socket size.

Ok, good to know thanks. I just ordered a new locking washer from alpha-sports. Since they have a minimum order amount I also got all new gas tank cushions and bolt, along with oil filter and o-ring I'll order the APE nut tomorrow. The Clutch basket looks good, no gouges, the steels and fibers are all new, (replaced 3 years ago, 0 miles since replacement). I goofed when I replaced the clutch and used heavy duty springs, couldn't even pull the clutch lever it was to stiff. Going to try 3 stock and 3 HD springs and see how it does.

Alpha Sports has a nice parts fishe but their parts are expensive. Next time you might want to check Part Shark if price is a concern.

I did notice they a little high, I'll look at Part Shark next time. Except for offset front sprocket, rear sprocket and chain, I think I'm done buying parts.

I guess it fits 550s thru 1150 according to the online Suzuki parts site. We will upgrade the description on our site.
