Removing oil pan

Replacing my oil pan and can't get it off. Every thread I have read gives me the impression that it should come right off after removing the bolts. Well, mine is on there pretty good. I have used a rubber mallet and hit it hard enough that pieces of rubber started flying. Sad cause its my favorite mallet. Jacked up the bike at the oil pan hoping that would loosen the pan, did some wheel work. Pulled out the mallet again and the oil pan is still stuck. Any suggestions on how to get it off? Thought about putting something up the drain hole and yanking, but not sure what to use.

Did you use a degreaser? Might help, sometimes the oil will cause it to stick like on the valve covers. If you have a heat gun it MAY help just have a fire exting. just in case.

Take a piece of wood and hit it against the sides with a hammer lightly. Might direct the force to one area more versus the mallet.

I dont know how cold it is where you are but warming up the pan should help alot... Just a hairdryer is probably fine but a heat gun is probably faster.

Sure you got all the bolts out of it? Use a screwdriver and pry it off.

Are you SURE you've got all the screws ???
Alphasports parts diagram shows 17 screws . Didn't miss the one towards the centre , almost in line with the drain plug ? It's the only one that's not on the edge of the oil pan .

Yeah, had all the screws out. Ended up using a little heat and hammer and wood. Sure had a ton of crap in the bottom of the pan.
