Just remember to ask someone at the site whether it's an OEM or aftermarket gasket.
Many of the aftermarket ones are getting a bad reputation.

I don't know. Some have had problems just as soon as they started the bike, others have had them in for years.

Are oem head gaskets a composit material?
Seems like a lot of kits out there offer pressed steel?
Ate there advantages over the other depending on material?83 GS1100ES rebuild:

Suzuki moved from composite to MLS head gaskets. Both are acceptable methods.
There are several long gasket threads in the archives so you may want to do a search to uncover the info you are looking for. My personal experience with Athena gaskets was not good - base gasket was too soft and smeared/extruded out of place under clamp load. The head gasket seemed okay but at minimum I'd get an OE base gasket to supplement the kit.Last edited by Nessism; 01-07-2011, 12:55 PM.Ed
