    1150 1100 trans difference?

what needs to be done to put a 1100 trans into a 1150? someone said 2mm spacer between gears? which gears and what else?

No spacer between gears. The 1150 has a different bearing required on the output shaft right behind the countershaft sprocket. Ray.

Has anyone here ever taken a 1100 or 1150 trans completely apart, is 2nd drive gear on clutch shaft pressed on? how do you remove it-heat and press? I think I heard that it can only be done once or twice ? is it splined , and how to reinstall it, im trying to change bearings and this gear is in the way to get to them

2nd gear input is pressed on. It is not splined. You do not need to remove it to replace the transmission bearings.

Im replacing the bearing inside of the gears, It looks like the only way to get to gears is to remove that pressed gear , right? and how to do it is my question

You must be refering to the two bushings for fourth and fifth gears. I have never seen those wear out. You will need to press off second gear but you will need to remove fifth gear at the same time. You need a large press and the plates needed to hold the gears. I use a little heat just to release the loctite under second gear. If you don't know what you are doing you can send it to someone who does and save yourself a huge mess if you screw it up.

I have all the tools to do it, so heat and press, then to assemble heat gear back up and use some ? loctite on shaft?

Do not heat the gear to install. Yes use loctite. Press it on so that you have from 4.386" to 4.390" from the outside of first to the outside of second gear. Make sure that no loctite gets down into the bushing on fifth gear. Sometimes you have to touch up the i.d. of the gear and the o.d. of the shaft if metal was displaced from dis-assembly.

                    You need Suzuki part# 09301-28001
Try Partshark.com some micro fiche call this third gear bushing but it is for fourth gear.

Had a hard time trying to remove end gear by itself, didnt understand what you meant as I was going to remove 5th gear to get to 4th gear, then I used 5th gear to press off end gear and all went well, now just waiting to get new parts in, thank you very much for all your help what type of loctite to use?

I use loctite 609. It is for cylindrical parts bonding.
