80-82 1100E stock clutch fiber thickness?

I did a search for this and couldnt find anything.
I know the manual says normal is 2.9-3.1mm, but does anyone know what an actual stock new clutch fiber measures? I got a screaming deal on a set of plates off Ebay and they measure ~2.95mm. I cant remember what the old plates in the bike measure at.
    TIA
I can post a link to the sale if anybody wants.

what is more important than the thickness is...
    they need to be pliable..
charred plates can be up to spec and still slip like hell.
charred as in hard as a rock.
you have to put a ton of spring pressure to keep these from slipping.

Being new, unused plates I dont think they could be charred? What do you mean by charred? As in glazed over??

Try searching Clutch Disc or Clutch Plate.

"The specs for new plate fibre thickness given by Suzuki in the manual is 2.9 to 3.1mm and the EBC plates are 3.15mm, so are a bit thicker."

            yes glazed over.
i thought you wanted the specs to purchase a set of used plates.

No, I would never buy used plates.

i'll go out on a limb here just to add a little info..
80-86 1000/1100/1150 shaft and chain models all take/have the same fibers/clutch packs except for the 831100E/ES.
but the 83 will except the same clutch packs as mentioned above.
this is one of the reasons i owned/raced/built/enjoyed GS models.
                awesome interchange!
