Some times the bike runs very fast, some times it feels slow

More specifically. after lets say for riding for an hour straight, i go in the house get something to eat for like 20 minutes. the moment i start up the bike it sounds different, much more responsive and the revs rise and drop instantly, and when i ride off the gears the bike felt a wholeeee lot faster and im not hallucinating. however i did realize i was on reserve and i was down to my last bits of gasoline. after riding on the bike returns to its usualy (now slow feeling self) the bike's sound changes... and wait a minute as im typing this the term "valve adjustment comes into my mind"... did i just answer my own question while typing it? lol

    Hi Gabe,

Yes, valves should be checked, especially if you've never done them since you've owned the bike. Another thing that comes to mind is an air intake leak. Have you replaced the intake boot O-rings? Is the vacuum hose good? Petcock? Float height? Check the simple stuff first. I'd hate to have you start shimming the needles on your carbs just yet. But it could be that the jetting is not yet right for your intake/exhaust.

    Thank you for your indulgence,

I replaced the air intake boots, im using pod filters. Petcock good. Float height might be screwed up and im running 125 main jets. I may have to step it down to my 120's.. more testing is comming!!

This is probably a very general statement, but I think Dynojet says conditions that worsen as the bike warms up are more often due to a rich mixture and conditions that improve when the bike is warm are due to a lean mixture.
