Head Gasket Question
Which one of these head gaskets will interchange? 1980 GS 850 Suzuki & 1980 GS 750 Suzuki or a 1980 GS 1000 Suzuki? I have a 1980 GS 850 Suzuki. I have been looking on Ebay, it is hard to find a head gasket for the 850 but is easier to find for the 750 & 1000. The dealer quoted a new one for $108.00. Thats more than I want to pay for a head gasket. Thanks, ArnieTags: None

Hi Mr. arnie,
There is an extensive list of online OEM vendors in your "mega-welcome". Use real Suzuki gaskets for your top end rebuild, head gasket, base gasket, various O-rings, etc. The best prices are usually found at partshark.com, cyclepartsnation.com, or gssuzuki.com. Z1Enterprises.com can order your OEM stuff if you give them a call.
Most mechanics here recommend replacing the base gasket and head gasket at the same time. It's a little more work but since the base gasket usually gets disturbed when working with the head, it will often start leaking. So you might as well replace it while you have the motor apart.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff
