    intake and exhaust valves

Getting ready to check the valve clearances. I have read through some of the information found on this site about the procedure but am still confused about a couple things.

How do you identify which are the exhaust and which are the intake valves?

I tried to see if this was answered previously. Maybe it is the time of night or the long week I had but could not find anything.

Intake valves are on the carb side and exhaust valves are on the, you guessed it, exhaust side.

googles, welcome to GSR, and be sure to ask lots of questions. The folk here are very helpful, and for the most part, patient.
Do you have a service manual for it yet? If not, got to BikeCliff's web site and download one. They are chock full of information. You might even like a Haynes manual, some folk prefer them.

        duh!

When it is explained that way it is not too hard to understand, is it?

Thanks for the welcome and answers!
