Clutch G750 -77 spacers on springs?

I have searched for information that I think I have read here... but can't find it.

    Regarding GS750 -77

My clutch can be alittle slippery when it's cold some times even when the engine is warm
I think I have read that the clutch on the gs are weak so do I have to replace it with an aftermarket clutch OR try to put a spacer on all spring to make the springs harder... do I remember right?

        New springs are pretty cheap

You can shim them, but be careful that it's not too much, or they'll bind
