    Oil starved rockers?

So on the Western Rally I ate up the .340 exhaust cam and rockers on the #1 and #2. Since this is oiled by the same port I had a look.
I spun the motor with new rockers and stock exhaust cam and noticed they were getting oil but not at the rate the intake rockers recieved it. The intake were soaked with oil but ALL the exhaust were getting oiled but not at the rate the intake was.
    Is this normal?
I did clean all the ports on the oil tube the rockers sit on and even spun the starter with the main oil bolt off the seemed oil starved rockers. It did pump oil.
Will it be ok to run the stock 83 exhaust cam with the .340 Webcam intake cam?
I plan on replacing the stock exhaust cam and getting an exhaust overhead oiler in the near future but until then on short trips to work and such do you think I will be ok?
By the way the #3 and #4 exhaust rockers and cam lobes were ok.

I think that top end oiler is a good idea. A low pressure oiling system, plus high lift cams (rocker type) are not a good combo without some extra help. Maybe some 750 oil pump gears too.

It will be fine for awhile Bill. The old rockers probably got soft after so much mileage on them. Get an oiler as soon as you replace the .340 cam though! Ray.

So the exhaust will be able to clear out and the bike won't run hot?
I took it around the block and it ran fine. Not sure if it will get rich when hot but I'll find out.

Does it feel any different power wise with the stock cam? My bet is you can't even tell! Ray.

I just took it around the block. I'll take it out tomorrow for a longer haul and get back to you.
It actually started easier, idled better and seemed to have good power. I did not degree in the cam and it did have an adjustable sprocket on it. The intake cam is degreed in at 108.
The cams were very worn and a bit squared off. The #1 had a ledge worn into the side of the lobe but the #2 had more surface gone.
