    Clutch fibres with uneven wear.

Well I have a spare clutch and basket.
I was cleaning a few years of filth off it today as I was doing an inventory of my useless crap collection.

I got this thing in a grab bag EBay auction so what the hell I figured it can never hurt to have an extra everything.

I never bothered to check it so today I measured the fibres and they are all at about 3.10 mm to 3.15

This is OK as the service limit is 2.75 mm.

There were a few spots where it seemed togo down to 3.09 mm.

So what gives are these things warped? The steel plates still have their dimpling and when stacked appear flat as a pancake.

Sounds like you have some good parts. But the bigger surprise is how well you described the parts and wrote that post . Im impressed Mr. Jeepster !

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.
