    gs 450 to gs 550

does anyone know if a 1977 gs 550 motor will fit in a gs 450 frame?
i am tired of trying to get mine to run
i have a gs550 motor but no frame to mount it in
it has both kick and eletrice starter and has points
i know how to work on it

I think the physical size is going to be the limiting factor. A motor from a modern GS500 twin would be much easier IMO.
