    GS1000 Starter Clutch

    Hi guys does anyone know if the starter clutch from a GS850 will fit the GS1000. Cheers Wayne

    Check the part numbers to see if they are the same. I'm almost certain they are not but haven't checked for myself.

      No, they don't cross over Wayne.
      79 GS1000S
      79 GS1000S (another one)
      80 GSX750
      80 GS550
      80 CB650 cafe racer
      75 PC50 - the one with OHV and pedals...
      75 TS100 - being ridden (suicidally) by my father

          I think some of the guts will swap over if the GS1000 is missing bits.

            Springs, rollers and pins are the same. I think the roller bearings and bronze thrust washer might swap too, but the rest of it is a different size, different gear ratio etc.
