    Smoke on startup

I searched the forums and have got some good ideas at what it is... But see if anyone has any ideas.

At startup bike will shoot smoke out the exhaust, its not really white, its more like a grey, but not black, and it does linger in the air which hints at it not being water.

My bike has had an oil change within 500 miles, valve clearances fixed at the same time all are within spec, new chain/sprockets also done 500 miles ago not that that should be an issue anyways.

Could my fuel mixture screw tips being broken cause this problem? I know it's causing my backfire problem
    Thanks for the help!

Black smoke on start up is a sign of a rich mixture (as it should be) as a result of the choke being used. White smoke (often with a hint of blue) on start up is a sign of worn valve stem oil seals.
